Under Delhi Development Act, 1957,
Master Plan for Delhi include Development plan for Zones. It creates a
link between the Master Plan and lay-out Plans. As per the Master Plan for
Delhi -2021, capital of India had been separated into 15 planning zones. Among
these , (L) zone is part of developing urban sector.
According to the Delhi Master Plan 2021, L Zone will be developed as per
Land Pooling Policy (LPP) where modern amenities will be main focus of housing
which is fully functional in only few cities of the world. L Zone Delhi will be
enabled with 100% power back, Wi-Fi connectivity, 24×7 water supply, proper
waste disposal and a well organised transport facility.
Approx. 3200 acres land of South West Delhi is decided to be developed by
Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and this particular developing land is well
known as (L) Zone. This is the largest among the 15 zones of Delhi. The key
features in the development of this zone is security and advanced facilities to
add ease to the life of inhabitants of this under developing area.
According to the Delhi Master Plan 2021, L Zone will be build up as per
Land Pooling Policy (LPP) where latest facilities will be part of housing which
is only fully functional in few cities of the world.
Basically, (L) zone is extended over an area of 21933 hectares, which is
edged by the Railway track of Delhi-Rohtak in the north, Sub-city of 'K' zone
mainly comprised of Dwarka and Existing H T line, in the east and capital
territory of India, boundery on its south and west.
As L Zone is nearer to National capital territory of Delhi, which is
India's first aspiring smart city, which led to digitalization and results in
improved performance and living standards of the occupants of this planned
city. It is the prime location which provides best connectivity to Gurgaon,
Delhi and IGI Airport which make sure to offer enhanced living standards ,airy
areas and fastest connectivity in Delhi/NCR.
